Benjamin Franklin was born on Milk Street, in Boston, Massachusetts, on Janu and baptized at Old South Meeting House. His father, Josiah Franklin, was a tallow chandler, a maker of candles and soap, whose second wife, Abiah Folger, was Benjamin's mother.
